Thank you to all who participated in AustinONE Event Day!!!

We are told in John 17:21-22 that Jesus prayed:
"that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one."

On June 9, 2007 the Christ-following community of Austin and surrounding areas responded with the second AustinONE event since last December. We came together in cooperation with the Austin Police Department, the City of Austin Parks and Recreation, area neighborhood communities, the Christian Women's Job Corp and other partners and contributors, to unite the body of Christ through an outpouring of fellowship and love.

God was definitely glorified and present during the entire day. The event began with a fantastic praise and worship service (Music by Threads, and a message by Chuck Haddox, minister to Single Adults at Hyde Park Baptist Church). Afterwards the volunteers separated into small groups for a prayer before going out into the community to participate in various pre-arranged service projects involving repairing and painting community widow's homes, loving and spending time with over 100 beautiful children in the neighborhood, painting numbers on the curbs for first responders, planting a garden for Mission Possible, cleaning up Boggy Creek and adjacent neighborhoods, helping to organize the library at Helping Hand Home for Children and the offices of REALife Ministry, providing prayer and health services at the Mission Possible Wellness Center at 12th and Chico and providing a free clothes closet (compliments of Polka Dot Pony) for the neighborhood in and around Rosewood-Zaragosa Neighborhood Center.

All this united as ONE body, in ONE day, all in fellowship with ONE another and all for the GLORY of our Lord Jesus Christ.
